Courses will meet online for three days and cost $20. Attendance is free for students with financial need. All proceeds will support our fundraiser for Children International.
Courses
Government with Annelise
Grades 6-8
9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Over 3 days, this course will cover the general trends and basic theories behind the US government. It will introduce the foundational knowledge needed to understand how our political opinions are formed and how the government has evolved throughout history.

Sugar Chemistry with Joshua
Grades 4-8
10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
What is the structure of sugar? Why does it taste sweet? How is it made? All these questions will be answered in this camp where we will explore the chemistry behind sugars! During the 3 days of this course, students will learn about the origin of modern table sugar, discover the process to create it, and practice explaining how sugar is used in our bodies.

Introduction to Sugar Chemistry with Joshua
Grades K-4
12:30 PM - 1:30 PM
Interested in learning about how sugar is made in plants? Or why it tastes sweet to us? How about the difference between liquid and solid sugar? If any of those questions made you excited, then this camp is for you! In this course, students will be introduced to the basic process of making sugar and how it is transformed into the sweet particles we buy in stores.

Economics with Heather
Grades 6-8
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
During these 3 days, students will be taking an intro course to microeconomics and learning about the key rules needed to have a foundation about society. This will include specialization and trade between two nations and the way an efficient economy operates. Recommended for middle schoolers as the lessons will be a bit more fast-paced.
